Tria Challenge

Tria challenge has started again after abit of a break. This time an unusually image of some unique roses in a cup.

Fun image to colour with the petals and light to consider.
The photo came out abit light. It was light papers as well so that doesn't help. So nice soft colours. Abit of flourish, abit a bling...

Thanks for looking.

OOH many pretty things...

I had abit too much fun at the show on the weekend! I was going soo well and then I cam across the shop called The Paper Craft Hub in Canberra. Well, that wasn't good!! Lots of lovely washi tape and Fancy That dies. So sweet. So I will be playing with them shortly, I have my eldest son heading off to camp tomorrow 7am- abit harsh! Such a big job naming everything under the sun and making sure e has everything! But that is done now so it is time to relax and enjoy the short break of having just two at home. I'll miss the big noise maker but I will enjoy to peace that strangely happens when just one departs for a short time!

I am sure I had posted this before but I seems to not be here. I love this card. Soo simple.

I inked the embossing folder and ran it thru my cuttlebug. So effective technique, if you haven't tried it give it a go!

Lets catch up on some swaps...

Graduated Gitter- Something abit different I hope. Many people glitter an image I decided I would make a checker board, why... cos I'm nuts!! I had glitter EVERYWHERE!! But it was soo much fun. "Just Because"... I could!

Next Paris without an Eiffel Tower- I wonder if you can pick how things ties into that.  "The Green Fairy" Or the drink "Abstinence"

Banners- That's no shock :)

I tried steampunk for the first time. I had to google some inspiration but I think it turned out well...

It's time for bed. Sleep well or have a great day if you are just waking up!!

Thanks for looking. xx

Inch in Time

I have been a busy girl today. Keeping two of my boys from driving me insane and still trying to get my inchies done before Friday evening.

Well they are all done!

This  swap had a theme of time. I had a brain wave and used some cardstock I had made a few months ago, using a technique called Mother of Pearl. From there it morphed into this...

You will have to forgive me about the original colours. I think I sponged it with Early Espresso ink after the paint had dried. Then I used card gel and a stencil and sponged that with the Stazon. After some fun with the shrinky dink and some stamping. All finished. So considering I had this background mostly done it was great to use it. I should make some more so I can put it aside and remember exactly what I did!

So a quick post tonight.

Thanks for looking.

Happy Easter all!!!!

I hope you all had a great Easter. Ours was very productive but not of the crafty fun sort! Althou it has been good to do something abit different.  I've been painting and sanding walls and a cupboard that has been made for about 7 yrs!!! All in good time! LOL. I have a big handicap in the painting walls... well actually the sanding department, I'm not too bad about the painting althou I still cut corners and I realise later that maybe I shouldn't of cut!! ;)

Over the last weekend or two I have been having a play with two of my nieces and theses were a couple of their projects.

Mikayla is 12years old and I am happy to say I have been her downfall into cardmaking!! mwah ha ha!

I did this sort of card in my last post and she likes doing creative ones so we did this one again.

Next is a Mikayla original.
Abit of blingage...

Hannah, who is turning 10 later this yr, (hope I got that right! ;) ) found a similar card within a stack from a class I had done and she decided she would copy this. A few alterations...

My card was for my son's birthday this yr. He turned 9 and loves building and making things.

I used all Stampin Up stuff on this one apart from the brads and some distressed ink. Background was Tool Shed- current catalogue and the "love beyond measure" is retired but I couldn't let it go. For something abit different I used eyelets on the bottom corner but run twine thru vertically rather than wrapped around the cardstock. Abit of "Early Espresso" mounted behind both the images.

I sponged using Stormy Sky, Forest Moss, Crushed Olive and a little bit of Walnut Stain.   I put a tiny bit of Crystal Effects on the clip. ( Had to look up the name on the bottle- how bad! Some people will get up at 5.20am to go to the gym!)

Well on that note I am definitely off to bed! I'm almost at the end of a good book and it is calling...

Thanks for looking and stay safe!

Forgotten but not gone!

Hi all,

This card I forgot to post and forgot all about it.

I made it after a friend made one and it was nice.

Awesome kraft papers. Not much to tell you about it, as it was a while ago that I made it. Seam binding is Early espresso and the die is from My Favourite Things. But I hope you like it anyway.

Thanks for looking.

Hi all,

I have a card I made for my husband today. The hardest part of this card was finding stamps that will fit in the space.
It is called a Never Ending card. It is dead simple to make but it very good for mens cards. Very interesting.
Then one more fold and you are back to the front of the card. The stamp set is  from Creative Creations. Papers are from Tim Hotz.

Thanks for looking.

Hi,

It's been a while since I have been on. There has been a few reasons but I wont bore you with the details.

Pretty plain I hear you say...

This is the inside...
Friends of ours have moved house and they have a few dogs and cats. This card isn't an original. It has been made quite a few times and was original done by a friend of mine. The little puppy is on a pop up piece.
It's abit hard to see but you can see the orange behind his back. I coloured him with Copics. Stamps are from Ferntree Gully.

Next I have an image I coloured for a monthly meeting.

Once again coloured by Copics.
It is hard to see but the flowers are mounted on a piece of acetate with designer paper on the inside of the card that you see when the card is closed.

Thanks for looking.

Special Occasion

Hellooo,

I have a special card for you today.

My Grandmother is turning 90 next month!! How cool is that! She doesn't get around like she used to but she is still seeing her 5 great grandkids grow. I only just remember my Mum's grandfather. So it is pretty special.

We are heading up there this week for a early visit and a late Christmas. I start a new job end of Jan so I'm hoping this will make up for it because we will be there with all the boys for 4 nights, it is a long drive from home.

Sentiment is a Stampin Up from the up and coming Sale-A-Bration that starts on the 22nd of Jan through to the 22nd of March. Inside is another stamp from the same set  reading "There's only one of you" The Set is called Vintage Verses.

Flourishes is from Prima and I cut one in half as it was abit big for the card. I found the Washi Tape in a local shop. I can't remember who they were from. Like was the ribbon roses. I bought all of this back in Feb last yr is prep for this card, then promptly put it all away till inspiration hits!

The embossing of the sentiment didn't quite work how I wanted it but it was a experiment so next time I know I need a solider stamp to show it off, or use it in some UTEE.

It's hard to see but it has fine flicks of gold and white and some thick pieces which you should be able to see there is some bigger blops to the right of the image. The product is from Stampendous and is called "Shabby White Embossing Enamel" It certainly has a shabby look to it! Love it Can't wait to play on a bigger scale with that.

Over the top I sprayed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Chalkboard and then sponged the edges with Whisper white ink, to soften the black.

What do you think?

Thanks for looking.

Summer Fun

Hi Everyone,

We have been having lots of fun with Summer, lots of trips to the beach and shops and movies and a few more fun trips yet to come.

I have a little card for you that I gave to a lovely lady for her birthday.

The red on the embossing isn't showing up too well. Embossing folder was by Stampin up. The sentiment is from Stamp-it and cardstock and ink is Cherry Cobbler.

This card I made a while ago but it was fun. I made up the card mats and front. At the time I only had a small flourish, unlike now... ;/ You then cut it up and sponge the edges and put back together, remembering where the bits all went- only tricky part!

The last one I have is an ATC I made. I'm pretty sure I haven't show you so here goes...

It was for fabric. Of course I didn't have any rectangle dies so I hand cut them all to make the frames. One of these days I will buy some rectangles! The flourish is a Stampin Up set that has now retired but I'm soo not getting rid of it!!

Thanks for looking.

Well....

I was crafting with my middle son until he got  better offer to go play with a mate! So here I am with only one child in the house, Liam is still at my Mum's. I am missing him, mostly because you really can't talk to him on the phone cos he just clams up!!

So some unexpected me time...

Here is one of my rare Christmas cards I made.... it didn't make it to its home!! oh dear!

The only supplies I used was Graphic 45 paper and Dazzling Details by Stampin Up. Postage stamps were handcut- made people we are... ;)

For my kids at school I made a little present. All it is, is Die cut hearts glued together. The hardest part was tying the ribbon!

It's a great way to use up Christmas paper althou I discovered I didn't have alot of double sided paper. But a good deal of it is all gone! WOO HOO.

Thanks for looking.

Smiles Across The Miles

Hi All,

I trust you have had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I hope you haven't lost any battles with your new year resolutions yet!

I have a few simple cards for you tonight.I have ALOT of relatives overseas so I made this DL card.

This little guy is soo cute. The card is photographed at an angle so the sentiment really isn't that crooked :) The is Whipper Snapper, I think. I have coloured him with Copics. I have put a mat under the image just in plain white as I think it gives it something and I also hated to see the marks on the back of the image.

Another little Whipper Snapper image. So love this guy, he belongs to a friend but I will soo be on the look out for him.

Thanks for looking.
