Paper Rose Studio Portraits in Bloom | BIG Triple Easel Card

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Paper Rose Studio

I have made plenty Easel cards and recently I did a slimline easel card. Well I decided to see to challenge myself to make a big one. I still prefer the standard size slimline but it was fun. Really it was simple but I would suggest to use two bases.

That is 2 slimline card bases or 2 of the bigger ones. It just makes in stronger and gives you another area to open and you can write in.

Card Size 9.5cm x 28.5cm
Feature Panel Size (3) 9.5cm x 9.5cm

You will need a piece of cardstock that is 28.5cm x 19cm and score on the short side at 9.5cm. Fold your card base in half.

Open the card base up again and on the short side you need to make a mark at 9.5cm and 19cm. You will make a cut from both of these lines down to the score line.

Now you will have 3 separate panels. The flap on the left you will score from the top left diagonally down to the score line on the right. Middle panel you score in half going left to right. Far right you will score from the top right to the score line diagonally to the score line.

You will need 3 pieces of designer paper measuring 9cm x 9cm to decorate each easel.

The important thing to remember when decorating is to decorate the side panels while it is in the easel position. If you decorate the card flat you need to position the elements horizontally. This is the same, of course, if you make a slimline easel card. If you don't then it won't sit properly when in the easel position

Paper Rose Studio Tropical Christmas Paper Collection| Triple Twisted Easel | Aussie A6

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Paper Rose.

Over the next few days I have 3 different Twisted Easel Cards. Today is a standard Aussie Card base, which I quite like. Tomorrow is a very large ...like slimline shape card and on Wednesday I will post a photo on my Instagram of a standard slimline card. I think I prefer the standard slimline but you need 2 card bases to give the base strength, I feel.

The standard card base, I like too as it gives a different look as the easel parts are really a longer rectangle compared to the more shorter easels with the slimline and tomorrows one.

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8)

On the front of your card you need to divide it into 3. I measured 4.9 and 10 and make a mark along the edge. Using a craft knife cut from the mark to the score line. With the score line further away from you score the left panel from bottom left up to the top right. Center panel will simply folded in half left to right and the right side you score from top left down to the bottom right! Now, remember these for tomorrows card too!

Pattern Paper

(1) 10 x 14.4cm- for the inside of the card

(1) 10 x 13.9 for the easel panels

The second piece of paper we are going to cut it into three. Cut at 9.2 and 4.5. Double check these against your easels to make sure they are small enough.

I kept mine in order as the easel panels are exactly due to the actually card

The left panel you cut diagonally from bottom left to top right, center leave as is and Right side trim diagonal  top left down to the bottom right.

Decorate as you wish.
