Just for you!

As New Year approaches things are warming up. I think today was about 36 degrees here in Melbourne. Monday is up to 38! Then some nice ones at 25-28.

I came up stairs to have a play and my brain just couldn't get going so I had abit of a clear out and found a few things I needed to do something with. One was some strips of c/s that I intended to make some rosettes with. These I just cut a piece of c/s that I think was about 4cm wide from a A4 piece c/s, I cut two out of it ( one length just wasn't long enough to get right around to form it) and scored at every 1cm.

So I finally put that together and I had a little play with a Unity stamp set. I'm not familar with the name of it, as it was a friends. A Christmas set, thats about all, with a little bird on a branch.

I haven't played with using a Nestabilitie die and leaving some of the image out. I probably could of started with something abit easier but... Go hard or go home! lol.

So this is what happened.
Bling is coloured by copics and the bird is coloured by watercolour pencils.

As fireworks start to be set off for the kids early show I will say good night and God Bless and May all your dreams come true in 2012.

Snow globe

Hi all,

Things are heating up here, about time! :)

I wanted to share a card I made recently unfortunately stupid people who won't be mentioned here forgot to take a good photo before giving it to the person it was meant for! Ugh! So this photo is an almost finished card.

This image is one a recieved as a challenge image so I killed two birds with one stone, so to speak but I knew what I wanted to do and who it was going to right away. All the basic shape is off a bought card someone gave me a few years ago and found again when I was having a clear out and move around. It was hard to do the middle as I had no nesties that were that size and it isn't quite a circle.

Papers are Kaisercraft and Ribbon is Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon (122973) and a lovely Stamp It sentiment.

The bear is coloured with copics and all layered up. His little hat is puffed up with liquid pearls. Lots of others were using liquid applique but I wanted something abit different and I sprinkled ultra fine glitter over the top. He came up really cute.

If you are interested in getting this ribbon just leave a message and I can get back to you

Ribbon Lace Punch

One of the cards I'm making for the Nov 20th craft show on at Scope Daycare. I used the new Stampin Up Lace Ribbon punch on some Wisteria Wonder cardstock. I then used a 3/4inch circle punch and punched out the centre and did the same on black cardstock and swapped them over. The stamp is from the Stampin Up Word Play set. Very simple but nice.
Now I'm off to bed. Night!

Soo Worth The Wait

Today I have a card I made for my sister in law that I mentioned had a baby. Piper is just beautiful!
The button is suppose to be further over on top of the twine but..... what are you going to do now? Very simple little card. House mouse stamp that I thought was just soo sweet. Stampin up thread and button and paper I got at Picture to Page show called Simple stories- Baby Steps.

Inside the card it reads "So Worth The Wait" it was very fitting.

I'm trying to get ready for a little craft show in Chelsea. It is on the 20th of Nov. But I have put some simple cards together and I will post soon.

Thanks for looking.

Exciting Times

Its exciting times in ones life when a new bub arrives. We have one arrive in the family this week. Beautiful Piper Ann Grace was born to my sister in law and one of my best friends and her beautiful husband. A much longed for and unexpected miracle. I had big cuddles today and I was truly in Bliss. Very pretty baby ( no not all babies are beautiful when first hatched) and a very easy little one so far. True joy to the family.

Picasa has decided to work for some reason, so here are a few older photos I need to catch on. I will totally admit I haven't even look at my blog for a while, life just seems to go crazy sometimes.
Now of course not all the things I do involve Stampin up of some sort. It is all about complimenting projects and making life easier with co-ordinating products without having to think too hard.
Above is a Technique Tuesday stamp set that I couldn't go past. Coloured with the Stampin Up markers and "Yippee" stamped out in some of the new In Color range, that are gorgeous.
This is an Art Impression stamp. The range is "Golden Oldies" They are soo funny and the sentiments that go with them are just brillant. Coloured with copics including the wood floor and the grey bg. That was care of a friend who said "yeah go more around the ladies with grey" and it soo didn't work!! lol So I probably now need to refill my C1 copic!! lol A little Hodge Podge frame and very simply mounted up. It didn't really need anything else really. I am disappointed Hodge Podge kit has been retired. They just add the little thing that doesn't need anything else.

One more thing before I start on my husbands Halloween card he wants to give to a work mate.

Heaven help me, I have just started to scrapbook, so these are pretty basic compared to alot. This is my beautiful, mischief making 7yr old James. He is full of beans and too smart for his own good.
Each of the kids will have a scrapbook, that is the aim. First page will have a page of Mum and Dad's wedding and then a page of them as bubs, abit older, one of them involved in what they love to do and lastly, of their first day of school. Mr James here has one extra cos the one of him with his older brother is just soo him, with the look on his face. Very cheeky and I'm sure he is the reason of my grey hairs! lol
It is hard to see but the top left he is banging on a piece of wood in Grandad's shed with a toy hammer! He has been into making things since he was 18 months and Grandad put a cupboard in my laundry! He just sat there and watched!

Well I am still have some things to sort out on Picasa but hopefully I will be back soon. Unless I get too carried away with Piper!

Thanks for looking.

Once again Life has gotten in the way of craft! :/

Once again things have been pretty crazy. Life, work and family all have been very busy. I have managed to get abit of crafting done. So here is abit of crafty things I have gotten up to.

This was Maggie's birthday card this year. My niece who just turned 5, unlike her sister she abit more of a girlie girl!

This is her sister Krystal's card. Its abit dark but you get that when you take the first pic just after making it and then forget to take another photo in daylight!! oh well.

A little bit of papertole for my Grandmothers birthday in Feb.

My parents properly retired this year and downsized there hous. The image is a Stamp it image and the words are computer generated. Coloured with copics
Once a month a group of us get together at Heavenscent down in Croydon. Deb gives us a image and we have a play with either Copics or Tria pens. This was the image in May in time for Mothers
Day. Unfortunately I'm got left behind in the store so Mum didnt get it for a good month or so. Oh well lol!

Oh well its getting late. I will try to post a few more pics of things I have been up to soon.

Night.

Stamp Camp

I had the best weekend. 32 ladies went to Mount Martha ( which is only about 30-40 mins away) for a weekend of craft....ok so there was also lots to eat ( we were fed VERY well!), LOTS of drinking and lots of great company and not much sleep! I dont really great alot of cards made but I learn alot and laugh alot.

We were given a little bag of goodies to play with and make some cards with! Some beautiful products by prima including papers, flowers and some clear stamps. Also included were some Darkroom Door Montage sheet and wordstrips. A little bit of pearls and some chipboard and ink.

Well it was time for me to enter the world of shabby chic. Most of the bits are all out of the kit. The only things I have inserted extra is the "Dienamics die" by My Favourite Things. It is a rolled flower die but has a scalloped edge. I used the small and medium flowers and just rolled them. Glue them onto some of the prima flowers. Apart from the Early Espresso cardstock the only other thing is the Tim Holtz border die- another thing I will be getting as it was a friends as is the flower die.

Oh I WON THE CHALLENGE!! So that was pretty exciting as I have NEVER won anything not to mention winning with one of my cards! The prize was either a "Stamp It" or "Darkroom Door" stamp set. Very hard choice, I went with "Stamp It" set. I thought the "Micky Choo" set was really lovely!

The following cards are off a sheet. You can get the stamp but I decided I really didnt have enough people I could use it for so decided against it!

You'll see why...

Not sure why one isnt straight but oh well!.

The last card I will show you is a card I made for my parents who have just moved closer to me. So I now have a 5hr drive rather than the 10hrs I had!! YAY!

Spongeing is slowing coming along... Working on it.  So it is only a little step card, it is probably only about 11cm sq. Owls are from "Stamp It" and the sentiment is computer gen.

Thanks for looking.

Paris in Blue

One of my good friends and sister in law was having a birthday and I really wanted to try out the Faux Fabric technique I had seen on Splitcoast stampers. So here it is.

I used the Stampin up Artistic Etchings and stamped on Marina Mist with Marina Mist the round motif to form a background. Tower was stamped with black. I then run it thru my cuttlebug firstly for the oval with nestabilities then for the embossing- forgive me for not remembering the name as I have soo many now :/ I  Early Espresso Brown is embossed with Vintage Wallpaper and a craft inkpad over the top and layered on Marina Mist and then on Crumb Cake. Ribbon/Bow was Early Espresso with some embellishment of Daffodil Delight flowers I made and Tiny Tags.

I hope you enjoy.

Toby is Two

This is a little image by StampinBella called "Toby is Two" I was absolutely hanging out to use this stamp. I hadn't seen a friend for a little while so.... it turned out she needed some cheering up so it worked out really well! (Photography is pre my decision to start blogging so not the best. None of my pics are as nice as some I have seen but...usually abit better than this. :)  )

Image is stamped in Memento and coloured in with copics. I had some glitter papers from Spotlight and I really love the combination of purple and brown. I cut Toby out and stuck on to a nestibilities cut out, because I wanted him to be a little bit off the feature area. Toby is layered onto Concord crush and the glitter c/s. Dsp is from Stampin up and the brads were just some I had stashed away, not sure where they are from.  I suppose I will get better at taking note where my bits are coming from as I get my into blogging! :)

90th Birthday wishes

I am lucky enough to have a Great Uncle around and on the 24th of May he is turning 90!! How cool is that!! Unfortunately I haven't seen him for quite a few yrs now, 10 and a half to be exact. He lives in England in Gloucester. So my heart will be with him and his cheeky ways. He has been in hospital recently but he still with us and we cherish the time we have, even if it is just thru our thoughts and prayers.

So it is always hard to come up with a male card let alone a 90th male.
I stamped Dashing Gents from Darkroom Door using Stazon Timber Brown. Then I used nestabilities to cut out the windown. Cuttlebuged some Sahara Sand cardstock and layered up with Early Espresso Cardstock from stampin up. I then brushed Early Espresso ink pad over the embossed.  "90" was coloured with early espresso ink pad as well.

Thanks for looking.

ABC Christmas Challenge

Yes I am back already. I just thought stuff it letz put more on now. I decided to enter the ABC Christmas Challenge this year. Wel we are always rushing and rushing with our christy cards so I thought I would enter this challenge. Unfortunately I am behind with the challenge, but oh well..... This is "A for anything goes"

"B for Black and White"

"C for clean and simple" All the christmas cards were snow, snowmen, snowflakes,,,,etc So that isn't my life. So this is my version. Bummer I still didnt win even thou I had a few comments from the hosts. LOL never mind I might get there sooner or later :D

This was "D for digi plus a sketch" Digi is from Dustin Pike.

One of these days I will finish off the rest and catch up! :)

Thanks for looking
This is a "Christmas present" for a friend.... hmm I hear you say :) My friend is not into christmas and wears a mask of little bit "Gothe" to hide her beautiful soul. So I made her a coffin. It took a while to get the measurements all correct. I basically drew the shape and just keep adjusting till I had it the way I wanted it. Flowers that are on top are Kasiercraft and just some standard little flowers I can't remember who they are from. After making the box I spritzed with a stampin up glimmer mist that I made.
The image is a friends stamp amd I can't remember whose it was either. If you reckonise it let me know.. We aren't big in Australia about Halloween..( it is growing, thou) so it took me a while to find a good paper. I saw alot of lovely, bright papers but they didnt really work for a coffin :/ Then I inserted some clipart bats that I found.

Hopefully this weekend I will get around to posting some other old pics. We have had a issue or two( or three or..) with my middle child hence it took me a while to get back here but that looks a little bit hopeful that it might be settling so I might get abit more time to play..YAY!

OH FYI She loovveed it!!! :D So that makes all the work worth it, doesn't it!

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend.

Pop Up slider card

As my first ever blog entry this card is a one I did in a class a few weeks ago. Coloured with copics folds down flat. Not an original idea but one that I would like to remember and the colouring is all mine. really quite a simply card once you break down the construction. Okay I need to work on my lighting, don't I! hee hee

One thing about this blogging it will help me to remember to re-read my writing, that has to be good! I will slowly be posting some other work because it really is starting to fill up my phone with pictures, ugh.

A close up on the original parts.
For a black and white version. Believe me I will post cards that are all original  but I just thought I would play with this first posting! :)
The black in the background is embossed

I really should b in my craft room but lying in bed listening to the rain is pretty cool, so I'm going back to that idea night c u next time.

Thanks for looking and I hope you will b back to see my evolving blog and the "new" stuff.
