Hero Arts Kit | A Play Day | Copic Coloring

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Hero Arts

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8)
Feature Panel Size 9.7 x 14.1cm (3 9/16 x 5 5/16)

The kit comes with  a stripe stencil, I eyeballed the stencil to roughly have the same space in the top left corner and bottom right. If you look hard enough the bottom is slightly more but that is between just us.

Using a left to right motion, to avoid the stencil moving ( you could use stencil spray to prevent this but I don't always think about these things while crafting), I applied Pool and Deep Ocean, leaving Deep Ocean on the edges and Pool towards the center.

I have no video today as I was just crafting. Sometimes you just need to play.

Product List Below
Everything I used was out of the kit except Copics and the ink, as I mentioned I have no idea what colours came with the kit.

Hero Arts Ink
Deep Ocean
Pool

Copics Used

C5, C3 and C1
 O marker

PaperRose Golden Days Paper Collection | Accordian Gate Fun Fold

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Paper Rose

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8).

Base
5.5" x 9.5" Scored at 1/2, 2 5/8, 6 7/8 and 9" Fold these starting at 1/2" a mountain, valley, valley and mountain fold. If you are not sure what I mean watch the video below. It is easier to show than explain.

Cream Matt
3 15/16" x 5 1/4" or 10 x 13.3cm (1only of this)
1 7/8" x 5 1/4" or 4.8 x 13.3cm (4 of these)

Designer Paper
3 13/16 x 5" or 9.7 x 12.7cm (1)
1 3/4 x 5" or 4.4 x 12.4cm (4)

Accordian
3 x 10 5/8" Scored at 2 1/8, 4 1/4, 6 4/8 and 8.5" Fold these starting at the 2 1/8 Mountain, valley, valley and mountain fold.

Cream Matt
1 7/8 x 2 3/4" or 4.8 x 7cm (5)

Designer Paper
1 3/4 x 2 9/16" or 4.4 x 6.5cm (4)

Once you cut the bases and scored them, you will need to place the accordian panel over the card base. It doesn't need to be exact, just roughly eyeball to the middle panels are both centered. We are NOT gluing anything down yet!

Using this as a guide draw a line on the 1/2" tabs. You need to cut these cut from the top down to a little below the line, this will help when we add everything together. Rotate the base and do the same to the bottom tabs.

It is easier to decorate before you add the accordian panel.

Stardust Stickles
Clear Sequins

CASE me a Christmas Card 2025 | Beachy Christmas

Hi All,

Today I have a great honour to be involved with Michelle Lupton's annual Case me a Christmas Card. This time you get to have fun too. All month there has been hops, whether it is over on Instagram or on Youtube, and today you have a video hop. So follow along and comment and you can win. There is an amazing amount of retailers involved. I'm only disappointed I can not enter to win!

So if you don't know the aim of the game is to take a card the other person has made, in the past it was one of Michelle's. Take inspiration from the card and turn it into a Christmas Card, you can of course use a Christmas card and make it again to make it your own but it is fun to take an everyday card.

I had the pleasure of CASE Polite Creations AKA Natasha Polite. Soo many beautiful designs I actually found it hard to pick one! Here is what caught my eye.

I am not a pink person but that is half the fun.

Altenew Build a Garden October Kit | Climbing Clematis

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Altenew Build a Garden October Kit.

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8)
Feature Panel Size 10 x 14.4cm (3 7/8 x 5 9/16)

I deepened the shadows on both images using Polychromo Pencils. However, I changed the pencils from a Warm Grey (See above) and Cold Grey (See below) The difference doesn't come out as well as in person. Does it really matter in this case warm or cold... not really but I do prefer the warm grey tone.

Emma Puenktchen Walliebe | Whale Love | Polychromo Pencils

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Emma Puenktchen. It is my last project on the Design Team and I really wish them the very best and I have loved using their images.

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8)
Feature Panel Size 9.7 x 14.1cm (3 9/16 x 5 5/16)

Product List Below

Hero Arts  Ocean Waves Bold Print CG757 - I only found this on the Australian Amazon site
Hero Arts Tulip Field CM412 for Australian Friends check out here
Stampin Up Cardstock Seaside Spray A4

Distress Inks
Weathered Wood
Faded Jeans

Copics Used
C3 and C1
White Gel Pen

PolyChromo Pencils

Heart
Dark Red 225, Deep Scarlet Red 219, Pale Geranium 121 and Cinnamon 189
Top of Whale
Helloblue Reddish 151, Ultramarine 120 and Light Ultramarine 140
Bottom of Whale
Cold Grey III 232,  Cold Grey V 234 and Black 199

After cutting my cardstock down to fit the front of my card I used a Circle die to make the aperture (I used a stitched one just so I have a nice stitched circle to play with in the future, that is all) I inked the Ocean Waves Stamp with Versamark and used clear Embossing Ink . The background is then inked with Faded Jeans so it would have a slightly darker bottom than the top.

The inside of the circle is sponged with Weathered Wood and the clouds are stamped with the same ink. I wanted a patchy image for my clouds so a Distress Ink worked really well. I have used two Copics colours and  a white Gel Pen to enhance the background, including swipes of C1 alone.

Walliebe is coloured with Polychromo Pencils. The sentiment was a pre foiled sentiment. I couldn't find it on Spellbinders, so hopefully it isn't discontinued as I really love it.

I think I have covered everything, Thank you for your time I really appreciate it.

Paper Rose Christmas Holly Paper Collection | Fun fold Cradle Card | Embossed Die Cuts

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Paper Rose

I am calling this card a Cradle Card but I have also seen people call it a Book Cradle Card. I like to keep it simple thou. I haven't found the right way to photo these fun fold cards so bare with me.

NOTE! You REALLY need heavier weight cardstock.

 What will you need

Cradle - 3 x 6 (3) With the 3" side at the top of you scoring board score at 1 1/2"
Top - 4 x 6 (2) With 4" side at the top of you scoring board score at 1/2 and 3 1/2"
Stopper - 2 1/2 x 6 (1) With 2 1/2 at top of scoring board score at 1/2, 1,1/4 and 2

Designer Paper

Cradle - 1 1/4 x 5 3/4 (4)
Front and Back - 2 3/4 x 5 3/4 (2)
Very Top strip - 1/4 x 5 3/4

Starting with stopper you need to fold it to form a W, so the first score forms a V (valley) next goes up to make a mountain (upside down V), so fold is in the air and the next is a V again, so fold is on the table.

Put that aside for the time being. Fold all the 3 x 6 pieces on the score line. Okay, taking one piece glue another so the folds are together then do the same to another so forming a little book, with one piece of cardstock then 2 stuck then another 2 then a single piece. When you open it up it will be an X.

Now you are going to glue the stopper in place, now I glued the stopper onto the 2 double pieces of cardstock making sure the folds at on the ground after adhering. I glued the stopper into the inside of the cradle.

The 2 top pieces (4x6 panels) you want to fold them so one is a valley fold and the other mountain.
Using a ruler place your closed cradle at the 0 on your ruler, you should have the opening on your right. You need to add glue to your little strip with the mountain fold. Slip the piece with glue up in between the  pieces of cardstock making sure the cardstock you are adding is flush with 6 " See the photo below. This ensure the card will fit in a 6x6 envelope.
You will notice the piece you just added is half way down and not flush against any edge or fold. See below

Flip the cradle over, still making sure the cradle is on the 0 and do the exact same thing with the other piece of 4x6 card stock.

This is what you should have...
All you have to do now is close up the top by adding a thin line of glue between the score line and edge of cardstock. Basically where my fingers are holding it closed.

Any anyone wants me to do a video leave me a comment below.

Now you just have to add your papers and embellish. You will find the measurements above.

The beautiful thing about Paper Rose papers is the matching Embossed Die Cuts. This pack only has circles but I have cut out some of the Poinsetias from the circles.

Hero Arts Nov 2024 Kit Revisit! | Ruff Day??

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Nov 2024 Hero Arts Kit- I know it is a ....little while ago but at the recent retreat I had to have another play. OH MY GOODNESS I LOVEEEE how it turned out!!

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8)

This is almost a one layer card but... it mutated..

To start I just eye-balled where I wanted the door, as it turns out it is 2 1/8 from the bottom. You could leave it attached but I released I wanted to colour my door in Copics, which bleeds thru to the back and I didn't like that so I did another base... measuring this time and trimmed off the "door" and I sponged ink onto the back and there was marks... so another light weight cardstock was added to the back to cover that. But you may be neater sponger than I and not need to do that!

The Dog, Squirrel and Cat were from the Kit which includes the matching Dies. I cut two each of the animals so... again you don't see the bleeding.

The back was sponged with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain.

Product List Below
