Quick Card...

Soo.... AGAIN the horrible bug got me! I can't explain how bad it was cos, well that would be very gross! Lets just say it was a extremely bad flu and which within days caused other problems! Second round of antibiotics and (fingers crossed) that will be it!!!! Girl can dream! It has been a very bad flu season, It has gone thru work like nothing I have seen for quite a while! This was also after I had the flu shot in May and I take auto immune tablets, cos I work in a school as one of my jobs and they LOVVEEEEE to share bugs!

So today we have a quick and simple card. Last time I posted I gave you a card using the Santa Elves by MFT  Super cute set, so today I continued with that theme. Due to being in bed I didn't get much done. I did get another thing done, which I will show you later.

I was going to mask and sponge on the background but.... the energy levels said "NOPE!!" so a soft BG10 it was!
Copics Used:
Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E57
Reds: R59, R46, R35
Olive Green (for something different): G99, YG95

Shoes: 110, C9, C7, C5

I mounted up the sentiment and used some white embossing powder. I used my favourite red for Christmas by Stampin Up Cherry Cobbler.
Bonus... not really a card.
I have a business I recently started. I wanted to do my own background for the page. My business cards have Magnolia's and I wanted this to flow onto my page. I sent an email to Paperrose who make the set asking for what the requirements were and if I could use my image. I'm yet to hear but I'm now thinking I'll go back to my original image, oh well it was fun while doing it!

I love it but I think it is too dark for what I want.

I have to think of a sentiment to use.
Copics Used

Christmas cheer

So Book week! Was soo much fun! I was sick in bed for the days before but I was not going to miss out. I spent too much time in making it! lol

I will completely say I was VERY warm that day!

So that is why I have been MIA with sickness!

It's been soooo cold I needed some warm thoughts! Well, for Aussie peeps Christmas is warm.   Work school, Mum's taxi is off and running again.

I had a chance to play with an older My Favourite Things set. Called Santa's Elves.
Check it out here. It is very cute. I've been wanting, I think it is called, Bad Elves and there is another called Good Elves/Elf. But I could never find it here in Australia last year.

As usually Copics were my colouring choice. I'm nothing but dependable! ha ha
I started colouring this for The 30 Day colouring challenge, of course I didn't get around to finishing it! Story of my life! Too many U.F.O's ha ha.

I had a play with the texture on the tree.

BLOG HOP

I am super super excited to be involved in my first ever blog hop... Well Encouragement Hop.

Three awesome ladies and come together to organize a hop with a difference. You could be involved through YouTube or a blog post or even sending a card into Courtney. Find Courtney can be found here.
Mary can be found here. Third awesome person is Jen from Scrapping Of Creations.

The idea was to help people be involved in a Hop that may not usually be able to be involved in and most importantly encourage each other too by visiting and seeing each others wonderful creations.

For my Card I used an Australian company called Uniquely Creative. The name of the set is 'Dreams r 4 chasing'.

I love this set. It is soo cute and I will be doing more with it!

I stamped out the dog and grass. I masked the dog so I could do the background using the MFT cloud stencil and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Ink, When I did the sky, I didn't want patches of white. It was abit too strong of a contrast, so I went over the whole sky again with the Stormy Sky. I masked off the ground in the process to do the grass. I didn't think about the ink clouding up the black ink of my stamped grass. Brain fart moment! lol So to fix that I went over it with a pen.

It can be difficult to get a masked outline close so any little white patches were colored using a Copic marker that matched the stormy sky. I did the same for the ground, which was sponged with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn. For the sky's 'oop's' I used B93 or 91 and the ground was a mix of YG45, 17, 06 and G14.

Copics I used were:
E37, 35, 33, 31
R17
C9,07, 05, 03

When I did the tongue and inside of the mouth I used C3 (I think) to go over the tongue to dull it down. So you can use your grays to tone things down! I wanted to leave small strokes to give texture to the fur. You have to make sure they are only small otherwise it just doesn't work. I have found.
