Christmas in July

I had the pleasure recently to be asked to join in the Joy Clair Design Christmas in July hashtag hop.
If you search using the #christmasinjuly hop in Youtube, you will find a bunch of videos made from digital stamps that were provided by Joy Clair Designs

It was my real play with adding images together. I did it for the 7 kids Create video but I just added the image and I didn't need to separate the images. It came in a slightly different format. It was alot of fun trying to figure it out and honestly probably couldn't of done it without my friend Terra and a little assistance from the hubby! lol

This card evolved over the course of making this card! I coloured it straight adding some extra snow banks and then decided it was abit too boring! So with some card alterations it became a shaker card!

Copics Used:
Snow: B45, B41, BV31, BG70
Snowman started with C4, C2, C0 but I changed this to the snow mix as the snow. I just liked the combo better.
Hat: 110, C9. C7, C5
Holly: YG67, YG63 R,27
Carrot: YR18
Pipe: E47

Once the colouring was done I went back over it with a Marvy Snow Marker. You apply the liquid and careful, if you squeeze the pen it will run fast. Once you apply heat it puffs up. It is actually pretty cool.

I used some Uniquely Creative Snowy Sequins to fill the shaker but I didn't use very much at all.

Just Breathe

Today we have another card for Lesley at Little Bits. There is a couple of us trying to help the boss out during these times of COVID 19. Small businesses are really struggling so each Tuesday I will be uploading a video for her.

We have a Paper Rose stamp set today called Daisy Bouquet and Altenew Bad Days Happen, which is a relatively new set at the shop.

Recipe:

Molotow Art Masking Pen
Distress Oxide Inks: Old Paper, Evergreen Bough, Black Soot
Blending Brushes
Versafine Onxy Black
Clear Embossing Powder
Heat Proof Vellum (it is thicker vellum)
Uniquely Creative Clear Sequins
Multi Matt Medium (MMM)

Once I removed the masking fluid with a plain child's rubber I used 3 Copics pens ti fill in the gaps I left with the masking fluid. I used C7, BG75, BG93. They blend in really almost perfectly!

Copics Used:
Flowers: E09, YR68, YR16, YR15, R35
Stems: YG99, YG97

I used the foam tape to adhere the vellum and used a little bit of the MMM  just underneath it and to apply the sequins.

Check out the video here.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stunning Cosmos

Today's card was  a experiment. I wouldn't recommend it. Only because I don't think long time it would be good for your Copic pens. My pens for the brief time I used them, they are fine. But you do so at your known risk. I have however done this without any trouble with normal distress inks.

However, all of this is at your own risk.

Disclaimer done and dusted, now to the play!

Products used:
Altenew Stunning Cosmos
Distress Oxide Inks Abandoned Coral,  Candied Apple
Walnut Stain and Black Soot.
Xmas Red Stickles
Black Cardstock mat 14.4 x 10cm
Main panel 14.1 x 9.7cm

Copics Used
 Flowers: R24
Shadows:\
 T4, T2 (T2 was ditched later)
 Stems: G99, G94

I masked a couple of the flowers using full stick post it notes. The masked made a little halo around the images so I used the red Copic to fill in the gaps.

You can see the odd "shadow" on the flowers. Bare in mind this is a close up, it doesn't look so odd in real life! lol. It was an experiment and it was fun to do but I will stick to dye based inks. That's my choice.

Lesia Zgharda

Today I have stamps with an Ukraine company. It is relatively new in Australia. They are very delicate and I have not had a single problem with stamping them out. They are very delicate lined.

Using a MISTI and Momento Tuxedo Black ink and turned the card panel around to stamp each corner and then re-positioned the stamp and stamped it again in the  opposite corners.

Recipe:
Lesia Zgharda: Flower FL201, Best Wishes TA228
Copics: E49, E08, YR23, Y35, Y02
YG99, YG97, YG95, YG93

The main feature panel is cut at 14.1 x 9.7cm
Matt 14.4 x 10cm

The sentiment stamps so well.

Welcome

Hi Everyone,

Today's card is using Art Impression Whoots stamp set.

Recipe:
Art Impression UML4123
DoodleBug All occasion stamp set.
G85, G82, G40
BV29, BG78, BG72, BG10
B99, B97, B95, B93
E49, E47, E44
Ground E79, E77, E74, E71, E70
W5, W3, W1
Wink of Stella- Gloss Clear

Wink of Stella is applied on their little hats, which is why the close ups look abit odd. Sparkle is ... well sparkling!

For some bizarre reason I started to put my little owls on water or ice. I don't really know why.... lost my brain for a brief moment. My only excuse. I had to play with the colours to find a blend that would hide the blue enough for me to get away with it. I tried to do a branch under them but I thought the knots in the wood would make it difficult to see the sentiment.
