Bonus Card

A couple of weeks ago I did card with a bottle in the grass. I made that again and altered a couple of things. Mainly I put a old car on the grass. It was made the same way except I sponged the car with salty ocean and walnut stain and the background clouds were also Salty Ocean.

I hope you enjoyed my cards. Take Care

Summer Florals Instagram Hop

 Hi Everyone,

We have an Instagram hop today using Summer Quarter Designs. When you search in YouTube you just need to search for #teamtinysummerfloralshop. Then if you are like me you can binge watch them all.

You can find Summer Quarters Design here

We had a choice between the four designs and if you leave a comment on each video you get an entry into the competition. You can get a double entry for following and commenting on the Summer Quarters Instagram page

Giveaway is for any two of the four floral designs/winner’s choice. Which is awesome.

I decided to use all four of the designs. These were so easy to use. I simply opened them in my Silhouette program and moved them around until I was happy with them. printer and then I got to play with them.

I did have to google the flowers to see colours etc but I had soo much fun colouring them!

Copics Used:
Wild Roses: R89, R85, R83, R81 G85, G82
Camellia V28, V25, V22, V20 YG63, YG67
Daisies: C5, C3, C1 G17, G14
Alstroemeria: R89, R46, R24, R22 YG17, G24, YG11, YG03

Prismacolor Pencils
Black Grape PC996
Kelp Green PC1090
Silver PC949
70% Warm Grey PC1056

The sentiment was from W Plus 9 called Handlettered Hello.
After finishing the colouring I went back in with some pencils to add some definition as the flowers were very small and there was lots of small gaps.

Also as the background had small areas too I added the grey on one side to try to make it pop out more.

Take Care.

Male Shaker Card

Today's card was a challenge from some lovely "friends" lol. They are good just I think abit sadist sometimes! HaHa

"Do a shaker card with the stacked Squares" I gave them an option to pick the colour sequins too.

It is a simple card in the sense of products I used.

Dry embossed the background with the die. I have a Big shot, you need to use the sandwich formula for your embossing folders but add the rubber mat. Cuttlebug machines you need the A plate with the 2 B plates and the rubber mat. The rubber mat gives it that "give"

I die cut the square die out of a sheet of Fallen Leaves Paper Pad from Kaisercraft. The negative inside pieces were pieced into the diecut that was temporarily placed down.

The leftover paper die-cut I used in stacking the die-cuts together later.

I used foam strips cut down on the back of one die-cut then layered about 4 more for the height. It was really hard to add the strips and also make them supper fine.

If you had some of Lesley's foam sheets you could cut it out of that a few times and layer up. But I didn't so I made use of what I had. Add the sequins before adding the top layers to seal it all off.

I traced around the die-cut so I could cut the acetate by hand to give myself the window. This was glued between the top 2 layers of die-cuts.

Glue those all together.

The sentiment is one of my favourites at the moment. Altenew Birthday Greetings.

I hope you enjoy and you can find the video here.

 Take Care. Bye

Bentley Blown Away

Today, I used the Stamping Bella Bentley Blown Away. It is still available here

Recipe

Stamping Bella- Bentley Blown Away

MFT Cloud Stencil

Memento Tuxedo Black

Altenew- Brushed Grid Tape

Smooth Knight White Cardstock

Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink

I used Tumbled Glass and the MFT Cloud Stencil to make the clouds. Using the ink flick the blending tool upwards off the stencil. This gives you a soft edge and move it around or rotate it to give you a varying cloud.
I used the rough edge of an post it note to cover Bentley and the balloons.

Copics Used
Skin: E04, E11, E00, E000
Dress: R27, YR07, Y38, Y15, Y00
Hair: E59, E57, E55
Balloons:
R27, YR07, Y38
V28, V25, V22
B28, B24, B23

I had a piece of cardstock that I applied the washi tape to, it measures 14.4cm x 10cm. The tape went on very smooth and if there was a slight bubble, I could easily lift it and smoothed it out.

Bentley was trimmed down to 14cm x 9.6cm. Slightly smaller than what I usually do so the washi tape could be seen more.

Masculine Card #3

 Today is Little Bits Tuesday.

Card number 3 in my masculine series on Youtube.

Today we are going to use an Darkroom Door set and an Altenew set coupled with an Paper Rose stencil and Uniquely Creative Die.

I love all stamps equally but I do have a thing for Australian made set. One main thing is that it is soo much easier to get here.

Recipe:
Darkroom Door: DDRS198 Bottles
Altenew: Birthday Greetings
PaperRose: Cloud Stencil
Uniquely Creative: Billabong Die
Versafine Black Onxy
Memento London Fog
Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink
Stormy Sky Oxide Ink
Foam strips and Dots

I applied some Tumbled Glass ink over the background. Once I was happy with that I used the stencil and applied Stormy Sky, starting on the stencil and flicking off it. Sponged a little bit more around the edges and over the whole background.
Copics Used
Grass: YG97,YG99, E17, E19
Bottle: YG11, C2, C0

I used the YG11 just to add a touch of green. Little bit of Wink of Stella on the bottle and sentiment stamped with Versafine.

That is it. Relatively simple card for a guy.

You can find the video here

I hope you enjoyed it and thank you for stopping by.

Little Bits Tuesday

Hi Everyone,

Welcome back, Well today sees us in Melbourne in Stage 4 lockdown. I don't know about you but that means more than ever I just want to go out! I'm NOT, don't get me wrong but it is one of those times when you are usually happy to be at home but because you are not allowed to then THAT is when you want to!

Fingers crossed this is it and we don't get more idiots doing the wrong thing making it harder for everyone else.

Anyway, nothing sad talk...

My second card for men this week, has a little bit more work involved but you can use the technique or the idea for other cards.

Recipe:
Paper Rose Patterned Waves
Distress Embossing Glaze- Speckled Egg
Darkroom Door Torn Text
Darkroom Door Cupcake
Altenew Birthday Greetings
Memento Rich Cocoa Ink
Versamark Ink
Distress Oxide Walnut Stain
Distress Marker Ground Espresso
Vintage Nuvo Drops -Bohemian Teal

Top folding A6 card
Smooth White Knight cardstock 14.4cm x 8cm

I need to show you some comparisons.

I played with the new Speckled Egg Glaze and I wanted to show you some different looks.

First one is just the Speckled Egg using Versamark thru a stencil.

Next I sponged Walnut Stain over the background first and stamped some texture THEN applied the versamark thru a stencil and embossed it.

The card has a similar technique but I stenciled the background, sponged again, added the text with the brown ink, added more with Versamark and then applied the Speckled Egg and also direct ink to the card around the edges.

The thing with the glaze is that it is see through. It isn't easy to see but you can see the stencil work in the both close  photo. The below cupcake you can see to the left of the cupcake the teal coloured.

Copics Used
Icing: E23, E25, E27, E29
Cake: E53, E55, E57, E59
Wrapper: E53, E55, BG13, BG15

I hope that is clear.
