Hi All, 

Today's card is using products from Pixi Dust Designs. I am still playing with Christmas things but there is a new release available very shortly! I get it a little later due to my location across the pond to Pixi Dust.

Pixi Dust Designs Holiday Snack Treat Bag | Christmas Crafting

Hi All, 

Today's card is using products from Pixi Dust Designs

 

Project size

6 3/4 x 4 3/4 ( but you could make this smaller but changing the snowman.) 

There is a bit of die cutting involved in this project which means NO measuring and trimming by hand!!

To do what I have done you will need to cut 2 of everything except the bag topper and the base which is the more square-ish that has scored lines on it.

The stitched rectangle panels are the decorative pieces so up to you if you die cut both out two times. 

Fold the pockets and base on the scored lines. The pockets are little tabs to help you form the gusset of the pockets.

Glue the bag base and sides flush against each other. The handle is glued with the bottom of the handle flush along the edge at the top.

Decorate as you like.

 I have die cut the flowers a few times and even more of the leaves.

 

The birds I have die cut 2 times and one I have turn over so I have one going left and other on the right. I used my bone folder to smooth out the edges. This worked really well and you can still see the etched lines on both.

 

The flowers are pretty easy and I think you could easily mix and match the petals to form slightly different flowers.

 

I decided against adding an sentiment, I didn't think it needed it. If anything I would add it on the inside.

Pixi Dust Designs Fancy Butterflies | Embossing with Dies

Hi All, 

Today's card is using products from Pixi Dust Designs

 

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8) 

Feature Panel Size 9.7 x 14.1cm (3 9/16 x 5 5/16)

 

 The bodies were triple embossed. Once with the colour ink (use a dabbing motion) and clear embossing next a quick coat with clear again on the body and then quickly dip the body in gold. If you are quick you can just stick the second embossing powder over the hot first coat. If you pull it out of the powder and find none on the body, give it a brush off just in case and apply the versamark in a dabbing motion. 

Once you have 2 coats it is usually easy to apply the gold. But you need to be quick.

 

This is the end result

 

 You can see it gives a cool, I think, effect using the brown on the base.
