Moving Along With The Times Challenge Blog | Use Your Favourite

Hi All, 

It is a new month and that means there is a new challenge over on the Moving Along With The Times Blog and today's card is using products from Paper Rose.

The theme is "Use Your Favourite" which I actually found it hard to pick my favourite. However, I do really love the Beautiful Mandala from Paper Rose, now retired unfortunately.

My all time Favourite would have to be the "Wizard" from Stampinbella. I have coloured him once and honestly I loved how he came out I never coloured him again! I suppose silly really. You know I can never bring myself to give the card away!

Feature Panel Size 9.7 x 14.1cm (3 9/16 x 5 5/16) 

 

I started with gold Embossing the Mandala stamp. I roughly applied watercolor over the stamp allowing it to dry in between applications and definitely after applying the shimmer paint. 

 

Picking out areas inside and around the outside, this allows the image to pop along with Gel Pen to bring the image out from the background.

 They are pretty strong colours but I wasn't thinking too much and just having fun. You, of course, could do a much lighter background. This is what I love about cardmaking, you could make the same cards but totally different technique even with watercolor or any other medium.

 This stamp really calls to me. Very quick and easy card. Great to glitter too.

I really love how the heart balloons came out, the star needs more practice. I'm not criticizing myself I'm just wanting to be honest on where I think I need work.
