Paper Rose Rustic Spring Collection | Peek-a-boo Fun Fold

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Paper Rose.

This is a Peek-a-boo fun fold. I have chosen to make the aperture with a rectangle but you could do anything. The hardest part, I think, is lining up the aperture on each panel but that isn't too hard either. There is tricks you can use.

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8)

Cardstock needed :

Card base - 21 cm x 10.5 scored at 14cm or (5 1/2")
Middle - 22cm x 10.5cm scored 11cm (harder to give you a inch measurement to score at for this one)
Back - 15cm x 10.5cm score at 14cm (5 1/2")

Designer paper measurements:
 You need :
(2) 10cm x 13.5cm. One for the front and one for the back panel.
(1) 5cm x 10cm for the peek-a-boo panel

I have American measurements for you below.

Before you die cut anything pick what you wish to use on the front of the card. I decided I wanted a border around my aperture so I adhered the paper with temporary tape but if you are happy to have the paper go straight to the aperture you can adhere it permanently.

Take the card base piece making sure the smaller panel on your left and die cut your aperture on the right side, placing the die far right but equally place to the top bottom and right side.
Next you will take the middle piece of cardstock and fold it in half on the score line. With the open edge to your right place it under your aperture and place the die back into place. It will sort of slot in and not really move. Open up the middle cardstock and die cut the second aperture.

You are going to do this a third time but you will use the aperture you just cut to mark where to cut on the third panel. You simply fold the middle piece in half again.

Cutting three pieces of cardstock cut be tricky, you don't cut fully which isn't a problem, as you can just pop the die back in again but you can mark your cardstock due to the pressure trying to get all three thru ( not to mention the added pressure on your machine) and if you use tape to hold everything together it can sometimes stick a lot more and make it hard to remove without tearing( even it is low tack- I've had it happen using Mint Tape which is very low tack)

With the Middle piece closed, take the back piece of cardstock ( 15 x 10.5cm one)and apply glue to the outer part of the tab ( so if you were to open the back panel you would push it away from you) and apply it to the back of the middle piece of cardstock.

Next glue the front of the middle panel and adhere it to the front making sure the apertures line up correctly. You card is done... basically.
The only thing you have to do apart from decorating is you slot the smaller panel of the front of the cardstock in front of the back panel.  This will be the panel that will be seen thru the aperture when you open the card.

Sounds confusing but watch the video and everything will make sure. Decorate as you wish.
