Today's card is using products from Polkadoodles Craft

There is a new Challenge over on the Digi Choosday Blog. Anything goes for you guys... DT was given the challenge of Halloween! In Australia, we don't go a lot of Halloween, I think others do more.

I picked the Winnie Wednesday image, I just loved her. I coloured Winnie with Copics and I was a little stuck on what colour to do the sage green dress under her cloak. For the first time ever I used Chat GPT to suggest what colour I should use. I think it did a pretty good.

The sentiment was from the Halloween Trick or Treat Word Art. I coloured the words then applied glossy accents and then cut it all out ( Yes while still wet...cos I like to live on the edge!! ;) ) 

 

I kept the card pretty simple and just used some Stitched Rectangles to make up my background. I coloured the pearls with V17 so they blended perfectly with the rest of the design.

Polkadoodles Craft Digi Choosday Bee Cute | Coloured with Copics add Vellum

Hi All, 

Today's card is using products from Polkadoodles Crafts. Digi Choosday has a new challenge again. This time the design team was given the challenge to use vellum or Acetate. I thought it would be cute to give the Bee and gnome some vellum wings.

 

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8) 

Feature Panel Size 9.7 x 14.1cm (3 9/16 x 5 5/16) 

I chose not to use a sentiment for this card. I didn't think it needed it and it means you can use it for different events.

 

For the wings I traced the outline of each wing, so they each had 4 wings, and cut it out leaving an extra long end so I can adhere it to the back of the image. Made a slit the length of the wings and slipped the vellum through. A mutli liner pen over the vellum finishes off the hair and gives the impression some of the hair being in front of the wings. Finish with some stardust Stickles over the wings.

Behind the vellum the wings are slightly coloured with BV01 and BG11

Today's card is using products from Polkadoodles Craft. We have another challenge over on the Digi Choosday Blog. The Design Team was given the challenge theme of HOT,HOT,HOT Summer and with an extra challenge to use Lime, Orange and Hot Pink... so not me lol. The challenge was fun.

I've been inspired by a friend of mine in the last few months. She isn't on social media but I love her and she is brilliant at colouring with pencils. I know I could learn soo much from her is she wasn't on social media. In March she inspired me to use more of my pencils and I got a peak into her Holy Grail of colour combinations book!!!

Polkadoodles Craft Party Time! | Copic Colouring | Circle Card

Hi All, 

Today's card is using products from Polkadoodles Craft. A new blog post is available on the Digi Choosday Challenge Blog. Your theme is anything goes but the design team get a challenge, which means you get some awesome ideas for different themes. Our theme this week is "Not a Square or Rectangle card"

Card Size 13.2cm diameter (5 1/4") 

Feature Panel Size 8.4cm diameter (3 1/4")

Matt 12.5cm (4 7/8") 

 

Using your circle die and a square card base, cut out your shape. The die will do thru both layers. However you need to make sure you leave some of the fold line, so you need to have the die fall off the edge of the card base so you still have the join. I only have about 3 cm of the fold left.

 

Die Cut another circle to adhere to the front of the card base, this will hide the fold line and make it a full circle again.

 

The other thing you have to do, otherwise your card won't stand up, is to cut a tiny bit off the bottom of the card on the back of the card base. I have cut off about 1/2cm . You need to do this for any design that isn't straight.

 Decorate as you please.

Polkadoodles Craft By The Sea | Winnie Starfish | Easel Card | Prismacolor Pencils

Today's card is using products from Polkadoodles Craft. We have a new theme on the Digi Choosday Challenge. This week it is to make an Easel card. I had some ideas on all the different Easel cards you can make but I decided a scene was what I wanted to do so a more traditional easel card fitted it better.

To make my easel I took a top folding card and scored the front at 7.3 cm or 2 7/8" Then using another card front I mounted the red matt and my image. I applied glue to the back bottom half and added it to the bottom quadrant of the base card, making sure you don't glue past the score line.

 

 I applied a little bit of glossy accents and stardust stickles on random parts of the ocean and glossy accents to the sunglasses.

Polkadoodles Craft Whats The Buzz - Bee Buzzy Gnome Digi Stamp | Fun Fold | Prismacolour Pencils

Hi All, 

Today's card is using products from Polkadoodles Craft called What's the Buzz- Bee Buzzy Gnome.

This fortnights' theme is Birthday Card with a Different Fold.

Card Size Aus A6 which is 10.5 x 14.9cm (4 1/8 x 5 7/8) 

Feature Panel Size 6.2 x 9.3cm (2 7/16 x 3 5/8) 

Small Matt 6.8 x 9.8cm ( 2 5/8 x 3 7/8) 

Larger Matt 9.7 x 14.1cm (3 13/16 x 5 9/16) You need 2 of these.

 

This card is super simple. Using a standard card base, cut diagonally from the top left down to the bottom right. You will also do this with one of the larger matt pieces. This will give you an edge once you apply the triangled piece to the flap of the card front. 

 

Take another card base that is folded and you will cut this at 7.3cm or 8 1/4" ( please remember this is based on A4 piece of card. American card bases are different from AUS and I think the UK. Not sure about Europe. AFTER you have applied the second large matt that is not cut into a Triangle (one is a triangle and the other standard Rectangle) you can glue the smaller card onto the "inside" of your base card. Just make sure that it move nicely as you open it. Then decorate it.
