Card 2 Lily and Moss

Hello everyone, There was a hiccup with this video today.  Something wasn't pressed when I thought it was or just my dog ate it...

Anyway...

This is my card.
I scrolled thru the pad to find some paper that spoke to me. I decided an element I pulled out for the last card. I made this into a little shaker being careful to make sure no glue oozes out the sides. I have used a single layer of foam and not 2. I didn't want it to be too high. I also put more acetate on the back of the element so I can raise the back panel up a little bit on the base.

Recipe:
Green leaf paper 8 x 14.8cm
Text strip 2 x 14.8cm
Vellum 5 x 14.8
Seam Binding
Uniquely Creative Sequin mix and a little bit of white glitter.
Star Dust stickles

Strictly speaking, the vellum isn't 14.8cm long. I lied but but.... I have a good reason. :)
The vellum is 2 separate pieces.  Vellum can be hard to adhere without the glue being seen. I thought about where I would put the sequins and placed the glue dots there. Then the sequins over the top.

I originally had the seam binding down the side but it was all wrong and felt wrong. I say trust your instincts.

The binding was only around the card and not adhere on, so with some slight bending NOT folding I slipped it off and moved it to a better spot. Bottom left was it. This also hid another glue dot!

Finally a little stickles on the printed flower.

I hope you enjoyed it.

Quick post today

Today's post was a post using an old Kaisercraft set "Little Toot". The sentiment is a Ranger Ink Letter It Birthday stamp set.

I coloured the images for the The Daily marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
Copics I used were:
YR68, YR61
B18, B16, B14, B12
N3
C5, C3, C1

I used 2 stencils for the background.

The first was Paper Rose Clouds Stencil and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink. Blended with a blending brush.

For the ground I used My Favourite Thing stencil called Grassy Edges. Blended with Mowed Lawn.
It is a very simple straight forward card. I hope you enjoyed it.

Thank you for stopping by.

Lily & Moss

Hi Everyone,

Today I'm using the Kasiercraft Lily and Moss Paper Pad.  Contact Lesley at Little Bits on 03 9798 4122 or email her on littlebitscards@hotmail.com

Lesley has a few of these paper pads left.

I also used Paper Rose stamp set called Ella's Garden Rose Bouquet and the sentiment came from Altenew Many Thanks. More of this stamp set should be arriving soon.

I found this sketch in a book that I bought quite a while ago.

I used 2 prismacolor pencils
Rose PC929
Sandbar Brown PC1094

In the end the Text paper measures 5cm x 10cm
Pink Dot 5cm x 9cm
Marble 7cm x 7cm
Green wood 6cm x 4cm

Using a Copic Black Multiliner .5 to add some doodles around each piece.

Final touches were to put some StarDust stickles on the roses and a few spots around the card.

You can find the video here.

I hope you enjoyed it and thankyou for stopping by.

Sketch challenge

This morning I had a zoom with a bunch of ladies who were mostly from America, few Canadians.

We were given a sketch as a challenge and had to make a card in an hour.

This is the sketch.

So I grabbed an old paper pad from Kaisercraft called Take Note.

Mostly my cards I just used pages out of the pad including the die cuts.

The first card is the only one I actually used a stamp.

The stamp is Paperrose Daisy Border. The sentiment is from the same set. I also sponged the panels with Walnut Stain.

Thank you for stopping.
