Peaceful Peonies

 Today I decided to have a play with some ephemera. I was going to use the paper off it too but I got lost in the ephemera.

The Collection is called Peaceful Peonies by Couture Creations. I got this set a little while ago and I'm slowly working thru actually playing with my goodies. So I hope you get some ideas with this post.

It is a very pink set which isn't something I use too much but I challenged myself.

I started by making the tags and just trying different things to see how it worked together.

Hogs & Kisses

 Today's card is something I have wanted to colour for a while.

Green cardstock

I trimmed the panel down further to 14.1 x 9.7cm and matted it onto a piece of white card stock measuring 14.4 x 10cm.

 My baby was turning 14 and I wanted to make a special card.

1/2" Circle Punch

Corner Chomper

A4 Black Cardstock

White Cardstock cut to 14.4 x 20.5cm

Smaller black cardstock 12.6 x 15.5cm

White scrap cardstock

Paper 13.7 x 20.2cm

Paper 7.7 x 13.7

Hand  punch that cuts a tiny circle for applying brads etc

Using a A4 piece of black cardstock I folded this in half and rounded the corners with an 1/4" corner punch. Using the white cardstock round the corners.  Punch a small hole in the top of the white piece roughly 1cm from the top but in the middle of the white cardstock. Glue this flat onto the card base.

Glue the other black cardstock panel. 

Use a 1/4" circle punch to make your button for the bottom of your iPad.

Using different sentiment stamps and talk bubble stamps, workout what your sentiment will be. 

Ignore my grammar mistake. I originally had "Wishing you AN incredibly birthday" Obviously I decided to change the "Incredibly" as that wasn't going to work, so I changed it to 'happy' but not realising the 'AN' part. Next time, mask out the 'N', or maybe not leave it to the last minute and double check the whole sentence... Probably helpful!

Our second card I am going to use similar things with the Christmas Tree die and Christmas sentiments.I will be adding the Mirror card and Rich Cocoa Memento Ink.

I used a laminating pouch that I sprinkled glitter in and then sent it thru the laminator. This is not needed for the project as in the end, if I didn't tell you, you wouldn't know it was there. You would assume it was just glitter inside the shaker card.

Festive Noel

 Spellbinders has a really pretty die called Festive Noel, there is a similar one with "Joy" too.

I was inspired by a card made by Yana Smakula, she used the Joy die and a glimmer plate. I decided to play with coloured cardstock and sponge on it. Something I have never done.

Buzzing Bees

 Today we have a card using Darkroom Doors Buzzing Bees stamp set.

Season's Sparkle

 Welcome Back,

Today we have a simple little card. If you can ink blend then you can do this.

Some Bling

 

   I work my way thru the blending colours, going back and forth until I am happy with the blend. Flick abit of water over the card and leave it there for a few seconds and pick it up with a paper towel.

 

I left the panel for a little time while I had dinner, however you can dry it off and test it with embossing powder before stamping with Versamark. This way you can simply brush it off without any stress. Once you know it is dry you can stamp your image and heat emboss it.

 

If you look at the top photo you can see my bling aren't flat or domed. I had to pick them up with my fingers to place onto the Multi Matt Medium. It's abit hit and miss , but it worked out ok. They are pretty but harder to use, so I would like to use them up.

 

 Die cut the panel from the 2nd largest rectangle in the Paper Rose Australian Stitched Rectangles and layer it up onto some black cardstock measuring 14.4 x 10cm.
