Promised ATC's

As promised here are a couple of my recent ATC's. I have just joined this group and it has been fun.
This was my first ever ATC. Stamp is a Darkroom Door Full Bloom Vol 1

I created the background by scrunching up wax paper and ironing it onto the cardstock. You then apply ink and there you go! Looks awesome doesn't it!! I was mighty proud of my first ATC.

February was Ribbon- this, I had trouble with and my first idea completely failed. It was going to take too long and cost way too much. My beautiful friend came up with an idea, which left her ribbon ATC totally in the dark! ;/ Sorry Kath!

So with her help this is what happened.

Ribbon is the webbing. Lady bird is from Aussie Scrappers- I think.

Thanks for looking.

Not another Tria card...

Today another upload of Feb Tria image. Next month  I will pay attention to who made the image.

At first thought I thought Oh My Gosh whose bright idea was this image but it really was lovely and pretty easy to colour.

At a recent all nighter at Little Bits shop in Keysborough I was shown this shadow box card and she was lovely enough to show us how to do it.

I love this card at the moment and my brother turned 40 this month as well so I decided to do another for him this time. Mens cards are soo hard and my brother is really hard to make for as well.
 What do you think?

Stamps are Darkroom Door- Dashing Gents and String Sentiment set. Stamped in Early Espresso and onto Crumb Cake cardstock.

Bye bye Summer

Summer has flown by hasn't it...

As the trackie pants come out of hiding there is a definate plus. My upstairs is no longer too hot to play in my room!

I for one has certainly had some fun times with the kids and family and friends this yr.
I will also be rearranging my craft time, as I have just accepted more hrs at work, which is going to be exhausting and fun all at the same time. My Thursday at home will now be known as Wednesday before I have to go get the kids!

I have had a few fun times in my room lately. Every month a few friends and I get together at a local shop and we are given an image to colour. Some of the members have Tria pens and others have Copics. I personally love Copics and I'm on a mission to convert all the Tria members. Lol- not really.

This month we were given some little flowers and we had to mount them up and colour.
This is quite a big image really. I didn't want to do too much with it.

I cut out a frame from some Graphics 45 papers I had left over from some ATC's, which I will post some one day. I cut the papers slightly smaller than the card base as you would with a mat and then cut out a frame. Raised up the mat and had the image on the base, so the mat framed it. Some little bling on two corners and that is all.

I'm not sure whose image it was, as I was not there at Tria that day.

Here is a closer look that the image.Flowers are dimensional as is a few of the leaves.

Soon I hope to show you some of the ATC's I have been doing. Including my first one ever. I was quite happy with it, althou some out there took great delight in teasing me with it. I'll get them back... they have a birthday coming up. mwah ha ha....

Thanks for looking. Take care.

Hi all,
I trust all this summer fun is finding you crafting and happy. I am just about ready for the kids to go back to school. With the third and finally little man off in two weeks it is going to be a fun time.

This is another card to did a while ago for my friend's birthday, which is coming up again so there is another card I need to make. What a shame I need to go play in my room....;)
This little guy is from Magnolia as is the fence I think. I first just put him behind the fence but without his little nose sticking out he just looked strange. So a little bit of papertole he looked much better.

I coloured him in with copics and the background was with chalks.

Paper was from a retired Stampin Up DSP. I think it was Always Sweet range.

Thanks for looking.

Merry Christmas

Finally one for the day is my Christmas cards for 2011.

I finished the eveyone ones  back in May but I still hardly managed to get the other ones done. The ones you want to give extra special ones to. Like mums and even mother in laws and GRANDMOTHERS! She was not impressed. :/ Oops

I have to make her something special soon. I'm going up to see her at the end of Jan!
Both stamps are Stamp it. Clear embossed and then sponged with Broken China distressed inks. Loopy punch is a Stampin Up.

Now I have to go figure out what I am taking to a ATC night. I am thinking about using embroided ribbon roses but I haven't done these for a few yrs so it will b a search to find a book I have. Oh well.

I plan to play with my new photo studio thing :/ tomorrow and a card I made over the weekend.

Thanks for looking.

Ever wished...

Have you ever wished you  can turn back time and remove some of your old cards you did in the beginning?? Sometimes think what on earth was I on...... With going thru the photos that I want to upload I have certainly discovered the "OH MY  GOSH what was I thinking .." cards.

This was not one tho. lol  It just made me think how far we come in our travels....
(Woo hoo imagine when I start taking photos with my new toy....)

This card I made a few years ago. I made a proto type one and this one is because someone loved it soo much she decided I had to make her one too. Looking pretty plain soo far....

This card was before copics changed my colouring life. hee hee (and I had reinforcements on my nails! :D ) I think I coloured it with watercolours. The little dog pops out. All stamps are Ferntreegully Stamps.

Thanks

I can't believe how cold it is here for winter OH MY GOSH! I have jeans on and a jumper. :/

A package arrived today and it's exciting. I have a portable photo studio, I think they are called so I can get the most out of my photos of my cards. Now I just have to figure out what part vercos onto which! lol

I have been playing with all my photos so I can get some old ones uploaded and get things in here that I want to.

First one is my sister in laws birthday card. I was having a play with stepper cards.
Yes,Yes they have no mouth or nose but I just love Magnolias. You have give them the expression you want. A friend found the instructions for this in a magazine and couldn't figure out how it went together so I thought I would give it a go.

All are coloured with my copics. The Jeans were done by colouring it all then coming back over with the blender pen to add the definition and texture. I had to convert a "Christmas Present" into a birthday present.

I love the reds and blues together.
