Paper Rose Studio 2 Tier Drawer | Merry and Bright Paper Collection

Hi All,

Today's card is using products from Paper Rose. This is a long post today and a long video.

Box Size Aus A6 which is 8.3 h x 8.3w x 8.3 cm (3 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 )

Cardstock you will need is:
(1) of 7 1/4 x 7 1/4
(2) of 9 x 9
(1) of 6 1/2 x 6 3/4
(1) of 6 1/2 x 7 1/4

Lid
Take the 7 1/4 x 7 1/4 and score this at 1", 2", 5 1/4" and 6 1/4". Rotate 90 degrees and score again with the same measurements.

On each corner you will remove 3 squares. That is each corner and one on either side.

Then you will cut slits on 2 sides this forms tabs. Just do this on 2 sides but you need 2 slits on each. See photo below. There is only slits cut on the top and bottom not left and right. Now it doesn't matter if you make the slits left and right just don't make the slits on the top side and ... say left side. You want the opposite ends.

All the scoring, in this project, will be folded to make valley, so your edge of the cardstock will go up and the fold down (valley)
Drawers
On both pieces of cardstock that measure 9 x 9 you are going to do a similar thing with different measurements. Score at 1 1/2, 3, 6, and 7 1/2

On both pieces you will remove the same squares and make slits the same

On all 3 pieces you can remove wedges off all the tabs. I like to do this others not. Wedges help the tabs to sit flat and are helpful if your project isn't sitting quite right.

Sides
With the 6 1/2 x 6 3/4 piece score along the 6 3/4 side at 1/2 and 3 5/8.
Along the  6 1/2 score 1 5/8 and 4 7/8

Remove the corners to the 1 5/8 score line keeping the middle area.

Along the 6 3/4 side you are going to make a slit to the first score line then the same from the bottom to the score line. See photo below.

Put that to the side for the time being.

With the 6 1/2 x 71/4 piece, along the 7 1/4 side score at 1/2, 3 5/8 and 6 3/4. Again you are going to remove the corner pieces but this time you will do this on all 4 corners. See photo below.

Next you need to adhere these 2 pieces together gluing one side (one tab only) on the 7 1/4 piece to the straight edge on 6 3/4 side. Make sure the score line and the edge of the cardstock don't overlap.

PLEASE NOTE THE WEDGES CUT OUT THE TOP AND BOTTOM PIECES. I did this to all tabs.

You are now going to glue all those tabs left and right, top and bottom flat to the middle panel. This is going to give it a really nice edge and more strength. This is the inside of the box.

I do not have a photo but the video below shows it clearly. This forms the outer box and you are going to glue the drawers onto this piece.

Add glue or tape to 2 joining sides not opposite sides of the box. Place one on the bottom of the far left panel. Fold it up so you glue the second side to the next panel.

Next do the same thing but you will adhere this to the top right, so when it closes you will slide over the other.

For decoration you will need:

Sides of outer box
(4) of 2 7/8 x 3" (7.4 X 7.6cm)

Lid Top
(1) of 3 x 3" (7.6 x 7.6cm)

Lid Sides
(4)  of13/16 x 3" (2.1 x 7.8 )

Inside
2 larger squares inside 2 7/8 x 3 3/16 ( 7.4 x 8.1cm)
Smaller Rectangles (12) 2 7/8 x 1 3/8 (7.4 x 3.4cm ) I did not cut all the same papers but all the rectangles for the box are the same size.
Bottom of drawers (2) 2 7/8 x 2 3/4" ( 7.4 x 6.9cm)

That was alot! But if you have any questions you can jump over to the video and give it a look-see. If you still have questions leave me a comment on the video :)
